11 YEAR OLD LONDON STUDENT RECOGNIZED
AT TORONTO MULTIMEDIA CONVENTION
June 4, 1999, London - An 11-year-old London web designer
was recognized in Toronto by one of the worlds foremost web-designing
California based Macromedia Inc. Chairman & CEO, Robert Burgess,
introduced Keith Peiris, a Grade 5 student at Glen Cairn Public School,
London, Ontario to the audience at keynote speech at the NewMedia 99
Conference and Trade Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, on Friday
(June 4th at 10.30 am). Keith himself is President of London-based Cyberteks
Design, a web development firm he founded earlier this year.
This is a great honor, Keith said. Macromedia Flash
is one of the best products Ive ever used for the Web. To be recognized
by the President of the company, at the biggest multimedia show in the
country, is amazing.
Keith utilizes Macromedia products extensively in his web design work.
He is also a professional member of the International Webmasters Association
and HTML Writers Guild. Some of his web design work will be featured by
Macromedia in their website next month. CBC National TV is scheduled to
air a feature news article about Keith on June 12, 1999.
When he isnt designing web pages for clients, the 11-year-old
plays hockey, baseball and computer games. He has also received numerous
academic excellence awards from his school including a Silver Medal at
the London City Wide Math Competition in 1998. Please visit the following
